Exploring Language

This set of lessons for grades 6-12 grew out of the blog, Middle School Linguistics. (Despite the name, most are easily adaptable for high school classrooms). Many of these lessons also refer to lessons at TeachLing. I hope that the organization of the lessons here will make them more available, accessible, and user-friendly. Feedback on all of the sites and the information within them is always welcomed. The individual lessons in this section are not individually matched up with the Common Core Standards, though each one does correlate with one or more of the standards. Here are the standards for each grade.
